The weather was still behaving itself, so the sun was beaming down brightly (which might not be appreciated by those who overindulged last night), the humidity wasn't unbearable, and the mosquitoes were keeping to themselves

Envy had no hangover, and she showed up to the park in a fresh, stylish outfit. Make up perfect and not a single hair out of place. That was just how she rolled.
Her N.V. nametag was again in place, and she got herself a glass of something to drink before wandering the park a bit. Watching and observing. That was still how she rolled, too. She just did it with her head held high.
And in heels she maybe shouldn't have been able to walk in on uneven ground.
"Natalie?" Tara blinked vaguely in her direction. It sure looked like Natalie, just a lot more together than Tara had ever seen her. "Wow, hi. You look completely amazing."
Tara did not look particularly amazing. Tara looked pretty much the way she had in high school, just with grayer hair and the beginnings of crow's feet around her eyes.
"Envy, actually," Envy replied as she turned towards Tara's voice. Her tone was easy, if a bit matter-of-fact. Natalie just wasn't a name that was in use anymore, except from her father. And Sam. She was just nicer about correcting people now than she had been at first.

Victor was going straight for the grease and caffeine this morning. It'd been a pretty low-key night drinking, but he still managed to give himself a pounding headache. He filled his plate with bacon and cheesy eggs and filled the largest cup he could find with coffee.
Jim was still in uniform because, well, military and he had to be on his best behavior while on such a short shore leave. It was still impeccable though and he was being careful not to get any of his breakfast on said impeccable uniform.
Cassidy picked up a plate of food and then found one of the tables closest to the trees. She had no doubt that Shira, Elle, Ranon and other members of her First Circle were around and keeping a close eye on things, but for now, she could pretend that she had a moment to herself. She nibbled at her food while she looked around, still amazed at how much Fandom hadn't changed.

Sorry, Cassie, no moment to yourself, as Surreal flopped down bonelessly beside her. "Hello, sugar, anyone giving you problems I should be taking care of for you?"

Lurking? Yep, Sam would just be lurking beneath the trees. He'd stayed to the dark corners last night and he felt comfortable there so he stuck to the shade today.
He'd probably leave early but he was there for now.

Sam shrugged and made no apologies. "Got a lot of stuff to do back home. Coming here in the first place wasn't even my idea. But, maybe I missed this place a little."

"You're already trying to figure out how early you can duck out, can't you?"
That wasn't mindreading, that was just knowing Sam.
