"My laugh is an evil laugh... Ha ha ha ha DIE!"
Tamsin twirled, jumped up on a park bench, then jumped off. Yesss, she was drunk. Yes, she was in a good mood.
That meant she was looking for a fight. Just as soon as she was done singing about
dinosaurs.

She let loose a string of Eyrien curses, trying to figure out who she was going to throttle first.

But you know what else did? The Sapphire. Which was why Karla was using it to blast Tamsin away from her while she wheezed for breath.

She gave one of the flamingos a considering look.

...Not that Karla was doing much better than Tamsin. Her ribs ached like a bitch and she was pretty sore all over, hunkering down in the water to try and keep the weight off her everything. The only benefit she had going for her right now was that Tinkerbell wasn't using magic of her own to fight back with.
"Not looking so hot there!" she called. "Had enough?"
Karla? Shut up.

"Enough what?"
Flamingo in your face, Karla! FLAMINGO!

Whether that unflattering sound came from Karla or the bird was hard to say as it practically exploded in her face in a profusion of wings, strong legs, and pink feathers. She fell backwards into the water again, far more interested in getting the bird off of her than keeping her footing in the squishy bottom of the lake.
Oooh, she was gonna get you for this, Tamsin. Just you wait.

"You going to bathe all night?" Her teeth flashed. "Play with your new friend?"

After dating Warren (and her previous run-ins with waterfowl), Karla was pretty aware of the danger sizable wings and beaks presented.
To show Tamsin how not best pleased Karla was with her, she sent multiple phantom hands her way, pulling, scratching, and tearing. Even a special set just to yank on Tamsin's hair. TAKE THAT!

"STOP IT. STOP THAT! STOP--"
Tamsin was tired, drunk, and she knew it was a stupid plan. But she was pissed.
Her face started to change.

"W-what?" she croaked in a tiny voice, her shields snapping around her in an instant.

Oh, she was gonna pay for this later. Pass out, probably. Lose some hair. But since she'd already started...
Doubt, fear, suspicion, confusion: all the weapons of War, and oncoming conflict, lashed out at Karla. It was a damn good thing she had those shields up now.

She was afraid; self-doubt eating her away from the inside. What had she been thinking, imagining that she could take this being? That she could be her equal? That she could--
Wait. Wait, no. This was not how Karla reacted to fear, to intimidation. Even to the last with Ender, she'd been making snarky comments as a way to bring that fear to bay. This mewling terror?
It wasn't her.
She couldn't move past the fear, couldn't dispell it. But she could acknowledge that it was there. And not of her own making.
"Look who had to resort to her bag of tricks first, though?" she said, teeth chattering. "Not me."

Because Tamsin could not lose. Would not. Could not.

And on that note, she was exiting the water and fleeing towards the dorms, pulling a sight shield around her in case Tamsin thought of getting in one last blow.
Did not want the scary lady to find her. Nooooo.
