The Perk, Saturday Morning

Apr 27, 2013 11:19

Raven had come back to Fandom from Glacia with everyone else, but unlike some of the others, she was still completely her normal self. And blissfully unaware of any AU shenanigans as she woke up in the hotel and headed to the Perk for some tea.

Ty was not having a good morning at all. He'd woken up to find himself in an unfamiliar hotel room. Which was really more Anders' thing than his. Not only that, it was a strange hotel room in the bloody United States. And his phone wasn't working, so he couldn't even call home to find out what the hell Axl had done now. Because, yes, he was assuming this was another ridiculous Odin-related thing.

Deciding he might as well make the best of it, he headed out in search of coffee.

"Fucking fantastic," he muttered darkly, staring at the coffee-flavoured block of ice his drink had become the moment he'd laid his hands on it. "Can this day get any worse?"

[ooc: Bobby is Ty Johnson, aka Hod, Norse god of "did someone leave the door open?" all things dark and cold. And there's definitely a noticeable chill following him around.]

Raven glanced up at the stranger. There were a lot of people on the island she hadn't met yet, so not knowing who he was didn't strike her at all unusual.

"Hello," she said. "What troubles you? Can I help in some way?"

The first thing that ran through Ty's mind was that somehow, Eva had come back to life to torment him some more.

But no, aside from the dark clothes and the complexion (which Ty was also rocking, it happened), she really didn't look much like Eva at all. And her words didn't come with an undercurrent of malice the way Eva's had, either.

"I doubt it," he said, making an effort to smile. "Just one of those mornings, you know?"

"I understand," Raven said, smiling back.

"I am Raven," she introduced herself. "I graduated last year. Are you new to the island?"

Warren hadn't exactly had the greatest of wake-up calls. Yes he'd woken up next to Karla, or a Karla, at least, and he was even mostly convinced that it was actually her, particularly after she'd nearly put him through a wall. But he was also on the island.

And he hadn't had his coffee yet.

At least those were things that were remedied easily enough, if Umbridge was out of the picture. The coffee shop seemed to be open and safe enough to visit, after all. And the sky was wide and blue, with no indication that leaving would be difficult for him.

He'd take care of his need for coffee first, and then debate how badly he wanted to risk staying on the island, knowing Karla was here, once he had caffeine in his syst--

"You. Apparently, Karla wasn't the only familiar face here that he hadn't seen in some time. He wasn't going to hesitate before unsheathing his wings with a metallic ringing sound, eyes narrowing at Raven where she was sitting and nothing but pure loathing radiating from where he was standing ( ... )

Raven had been deep in thought, staring at her tea, when the sudden wave of hate hit her with almost the strength of a physical blow. She pushed back her chair and stood up, staring at Warren. She recognized his altered form from Umbridge's world, much as she tried to suppress those memories.

"Warren?" she said. "How...?"

"I could ask you the same," he all but growled, razor-bladed feathers pointed in her direction, a wordless warning for her to stay the hell away from him. "I thought it might be you when I woke up beside her. And I believed her when she said it wasn't. I should have known it was too good to be true. She always is."

"Warren, no," Raven said, holding up her hands, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible yet keeping an eye on those deadly wings. "I am not that Raven. I know she did terrible things to you, but I would never dream of hurting you that way. I only wish you health and happiness, I swear it."

Tamsin had woken up in a hotel (not her truck), in Maryland (not a city in Canada) and frankly, more than a little pissed off about that.

Going off to find coffee had to help, right? Didn't it?

She was debating giving the barista a death glare at the moment. Need. Coffee.

[Dinah is now Tamsin the Dark Fae Valkyrie from Lost Girl, yay!]

Raven stared at Tamsin, confused. She looked like Dinah, only older. And after seeing an alternate version of Warren, she was sure it was one of those weekends.

"Dinah?" she said cautiously.

Tamsin didn't respond to that, but seeing Raven's look, checked over her shoulder for anyone else. She cocked her head as she studied the young woman opposite, wondering if she were human, fae, mutant or other.

Not Dinah then.

"I am sorry," Raven said. "You very much resemble a friend of mine." And probably woke up in her bed that morning.

Well, at least she wasn't threatening to kill her.

After Warren and Tamsin, Raven was keenly aware of what was going on in Fandom. But she wasn't sure just who this version of Momoko was.

"Hello, Momoko," she said, bracing herself.

"Momoko, please," Raven said gently, slowly rising to her feet. "You must believe me. I am not the Raven you think I am. I wish you no harm."
