The Perk- Sunday morning

Kitty was having one of those mornings that was just surreal enough that she wasn't entirely sure she wasn't dreaming. After being woken up by "Danny Boy" too early because of a wrong number, she'd ended up bringing her laptop to the Perk because coffee was just a necessity now. The problem was, coffee was a little difficult when you needed water

"What do you mean there's no coffee here either?!" Josh demanded a little hysterically.

The barista went back to examining her Pinterest-inspired manicure before turning away to text Tino about annoying customers, OMG, leaving Josh gaping.

"Can you believe this?" he finally demanded of Kitty, who would clearly care about this outrage.

"Everything coming out of the faucets is this," Kitty said, holding up her shake. "I mean, you could skip caffeine and go for straight sugar."

"I thought that was just at my house," Josh said. "This is a calamity!"

Guess who had a slight caffeine addiction. Go ahead, guess.

Hmm, was it Josh? Bet it was Josh.

"It'll be okay," Kitty assured him. "This place does this kind of thing now and then. It'll probably be back to normal tomorrow."

"Sweet, milkshakes!" There was no caffeine in said milkshakes but Stiles wasn't about to complain about it. He was also steering clear of the deer. The image of a dead one at his doorstep still haunted him.

"Hi, Kitty!"

"Hi, Stiles," Kitty returned. "I guess if we can't have coffee, we can have the next best thing?"

"Shamrock shakes are way better than coffee," he said, already making an attempt to destroy the straw that had been given to him. "You can get coffee any time of year, Shamrock shakes are a rarity."

"The official ones are," she said. "But there are recipes online for the homemade ones..."
