Luke Skywalker, newest elected Congressman to the House of Representatives (and you could tell because of the giant flag pin on his suit), breezed into the Perk and shook hands with everyone inside the shop, smiling and kissing babies before asking for the most American cup of coffee on the menu

Jaina hadn't been looking for trouble. She'd just gone out with her stolen baby Christopher Howard, Jr., aka Howie, for a nice cup of coffee when she saw Luke.

"You've got some nerve, showing up here again," she said coldly, and also dramatically.

"It's my home too, you know," Luke retorted, glaring. "Besides, I was here first."

With his Colombian coffee.

"You don't belong here," Jaina told him. "Not after all you've done to our family!"

...said she with a stolen kid.

"Going legitimate?" Luke retorted hotly. "Having an important job?"

In an organization with a nine percent approval rating!

Grace had only been back in town for a few days, on a break from her European university.(Sure, the semester was still going, but writers never paid attention to that kind of detail.) When she arrived in the Perk, she stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of Luke, both the last person she wanted to see, and the one person she wanted to see the most.

"Congressman," she said with an air of politeness. "I didn't expect to find you here."

Luke stared inappropriately for enough time for the audience to clue in on the fact that He Still Had Feelings. "Grace! I didn't know you were back from abroad."

"I've only been back for a few days," Grace said in a British accent she hadn't had a moment ago. Oops. "Mother had a number of things for me to do. Are... are you well?"

"Better now," Luke said with a smile. "Sit down! Drink some coffee. It's not American, but it's pretty good anyway."

These were dire times for Dave. Evad, his evil twin, had mysteriously shown up recently and tried to kill Dave twice. And when Evad wasn't attempting murder, he was tormenting Dave with evidence of what he did to Annie a year ago.

It was enough to push Dave back to the bring. He stood there, just inside the door of the Perk, clutching his one year chip. The way his life was going at the moment, nobody would fault Dave for going back to the bean. He would personally be too bouncy and awake to even blame himself.

But no! He couldn't go back to that! Not after what happened to Annie! NOT AFTER THAT!

Dave clutched the chip to his chest and ran out, screaming, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Great. Now the Skywalkers might come for payment on top of everything else. It really was a dark time for Dave.

Luke blinked, then made a mental note to see what he could do about siphoning some funding for an asylum on this island...
