The good news was, the weather in Fandom wasn't as deathly hot as it had been over the last few weeks. The bad news was, it was still warm enough that the gym's air conditioning being on the fritz was making things a little uncomfortable. Clint had his shirt draped around his neck, and a portable fan blowing at him while he sat on hold and waited

Kitty hadn't gotten very far inside when she looked over- hello, by the way- and realized, "This is not a place I want to get sweaty in today, is it?"

Because bad days require pretty icons in the ol' inbox.

"That's a personal choice," Clint said, smiling at Kitty so she wouldn't see him being frustrated. "I mean, you're welcome to stay, but you might get a little more sweaty than usual."

Yes, yes indeed.

"I'm weighing my options," she said slowly. "Is that call so important you can't take it outside, where I think it might actually be cooler?"

After a long moment, Clint said, "I'm going with yes, because otherwise I look kind of dumb. Also, it's too hot for logic, I'm going with that too."

"Okay, so here's what I'm thinking," Natasha said after enduring maybe fifteen minutes of this. She paused, then continued, "It involves threats."

"Only if I get to watch you make them." Clint knew what kind of entertainment he liked, thank you.

"Of course," she assured him, fanning herself with a handy bit of paperwork. She wouldn't deprive him of such fun.

Clint leaned over and fanned her as well since an uncomfortable Natasha was something no one wanted. "It's times like this that I remember why boring, mundane lives aren't so much fun."
