Jaina didn't know it yet, but in a few days she'd be doing this exact thing but without the treadmill, so this was probably better practice than she realized.

"Thanks for this," she said when she arrived.

Avoiding lava? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU SKYWALKERS/SOLOS?

"Are you kidding me?" Deadpool asked, bouncing up lightly on his toes. "I haven't gotten my stab on in months now. Something about 'healthy relationships not involving attempted murder'."

Yeah, what was that all about?

A LOT OF THINGS. And Mandos were worse, okay.

Jaina paused. "I'm going to go ahead and put in a request that you don't actually stab me."

Well, lava is serious business.

It was about halfway through Jono's paperwork slog at the Boards, not long after lunch, that he decided that an hour or so spent in the gym wouldn't hurt anything. After all, if he let himself fall out of shape while he was on the island, Jubilee would kick his ass ten ways to Sunday. And she probably wouldn't even need her Wondra equipment to do it, either.

And so, he'd had a mind to use some of the weight-lifting equipment, figuring it would be best to steer clear of the live blades flying around the sparring area. The little girl running around gave him cause to pause and reconsider that decision, though. Best not to risk dropping a couple hundred pounds of weight on the little girl that might grow up to be mutantkind's one last hope, and all.

That seemed to narrow his options down considerably, though. Hm.

"The floor is lava," Jan informed him seriously from her perch on one of the stationary bikes.

Jono turned a glance at Jan for a second, and then down at the floor. It was possible that there was a half-second spent in mild concern that his shoes might be on fire and he just wasn't aware of it after years of being on fire himself. Don't judge him.

"... So I'm currently burning to a crisp, is that what you're telling me?"
