Frank considered himself a pretty responsible employee most of the time. Hope usually did most of her shopping on Fridays, since it meant she could just pick stuff up before she left work, but she'd managed to run out of half a dozen different things at the same time and she didn't feel like waiting until Friday this week.

"Hey," she greeted cheerfully as she approached the counter, basket in hand.

Blushing slightly, Frank lowered his comic book. "Hey," he greeted Hope, reaching for her items to start scanning them. "Find everything okay?"

"Yep," Hope said with a nod. "Though I think I grabbed the last package of paper plates, so someone's gonna have to restock those."

A pause.

"God, that sounded bitchy, didn't it?" She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry. I'm Hope, by the way. The Friday girl here."
