Same song as always, and Quinn knew the words, and her voice was still good but not incandescently great. But this time, thankfully, she'd figured out a way to do it in a smug British lilt that shouldn't remind anyone of meta Mary Poppins.

... A frozen mug wasn't so good for a guy who wanted hot coffee, and so he'd dug up his guitar (which he'd found earlier that day among the costume racks, nestled cozily inside Troy's chicken suit), and headed down for rehearsal. He was clutching to that like a lifeline instead.
His inability to find his amplifiers was something he'd worry about later. Today he was just playing the karaoke soundtrack that he'd picked up in town earlier, when he thought his Stratocaster was gone forever.
