"Your adoring public won't raise riots if they find out that your show was pre-recorded?"

Jono actually managed to muster a smirk at that.

"We've done it before," Freddie said. "Or I'll get someone else to do tech that night. We've done that before, too."

Though that often ended in disaster.

Potentially hilarious disaster?

"You could always just record the show," Jono replied, one note away from teasing, now. "It promises to be interesting, if nothing else."

They'd had... two men audition. Two. And neither of them really struck Jono as the sort he'd put into a corset.

There was no way in hell he was going to go onstage wearing shiny golden underwear.

Probably.

There was no other kind of disaster in the iCarly universe.

"I think that might run into some copyright law issues," Freddie pointed out. "Not to mention probably get us in deep trouble with the parents of our younger viewers."

Jono just waved a dismissive hand at that.

"Joking," he intoned. "Joking. I'm not in any hurry to find my face pasted all over the internet, and I can't imagine some of our performers would be, either."

Someday, Jono would come across the footage of himself singing onstage with Hannah Montana. And then he'd just never go out in public again.

"Well if you change your mind about the face thing, you could always stop in at one of our tapings," Freddie said. "We always like new and exciting guests."

"New and exciting, hm? You'll probably want to try to rope Troy in for something like that. I'm just the musical director here, really."

Also, blue-grey and he carried himself like ex-military. But who noticed things like that?

"Well, if you say so," Freddie said. "But yeah, there will not be a problem with that schedule clash. I promise."

"That's good to hear, Freddie," Jono decided, working on at least smiling faintly. "If you can make it in for any of the rehearsals, Thursdays and Sundays, that would be appreciated, too. It'll help you get an ear for who'll need extra attention with their microphones and such."

"I won't miss a one," Freddie said. "I'm very good at making sure not to miss things."

"Good," Jono replied. "And you don't even have to worry about surprise lingerie until later in rehearsals. You're welcome."

Yes. That was because Jono was nice and not at all because he couldn't order costumes from Dite's before any of the roles were actually cast.

"...now I'm more worried that my girlfriend will hurt me for working on this," Freddie admitted.
