Where it's nice and warm. Either settle down by the main bonfire, or huddle around one of the smaller ones, where there's less people.

Cara had found a fire on the edge of the festivities and was sitting with her back to it so her eyes stayed somewhat adjusted to the darkness beyond the light up areas.

Yeah, she was never going to be very good at either being social or faking it.

Ender had a small plate of food that he probably wouldn't finish, and with it, he settled down by the main bonfire. He didn't want to retreat too far from the crowds, but he wasn't inclined to dive in, either.

Ben sat down next to him after some time spent mingling and snagged a snack from Ender's plate.

Ender eyed him. "It's not that long right now," he protested.

It was not as much of a lie as when Ben said it. But barely.
