Now firmly under the control of Mr. White, the Auditors were becoming a little... more coordinated. They had found some of their powers failing that morning, which was terrifying, but then Mr. White had given them that look and they had given in to their bodies' apprehensiveness and scurried off

"How's that for some figgy pudding?" she muttered as one by one auditors started to disintegrate. The disruption of her carefully organized Christmas schedule was just one of the issues Isabel was going to work through today.
If her position just happened to be where she could keep an eye on Wyatt? Well someone had to make sure he didn't do anything dumb.

As was Bond and his pretty pretty shirtlessness.
Woe.

Nor did Annja who was the only one in the Cottage packing up more weapons when the Nothing hit the area.

It was just his poor dumb luck that he was still hung over enough to not be paying any attention when the force field failed, just shuffling slowly down toward the Perk for a badly-needed coffee so he could get his head together enough to get in on the fighting.
He didn't notice when the force field blinked, which meant he didn't have time to be glad that at least he hadn't gotten stuck in a shelf in Special Collections this time.
. . . he might have been humming "All Along the Watchtower" when he blinked out, though.

Or you could charge right back at the couple-hundred Auditors still left, looking more ticked off and manic by the second.

"This is for Amadeus!" he said, striking an Auditor right in the bridge of the nose. He spun around and punched another right in the mouth. "For Bobby!" Another punch. "For Rhea!"
And he'd carry on punching them, shouting the names of his friends and comrades. Just like he'd promised he would.

Hopefully some of you had had the presence of mind to run away earlier, or maybe help your town-based compatriots out of their newly-minted death traps.

"This is for... that eye-laser guy!" he shouted, having run out of Avengers and Champions and now was having trouble remember the names of Warren and Bobby's X-Compatriots. His knuckles were bruised and bloodied, his own face and back showing the blows he'd taken from his vicious enemies in the form more bruises, and more bleeding cuts and gouges. He was running on pure adrenaline, but he would not give up this fight.
"And card-throwy man!" He delivered his final punch. "And--"
That's when the field crashed again, and the Lion of Olympus never was.

He turned and looked back at his fellow postal workers. Most were staring across the street where the force field held the nothing at bay.
"Gentlemen," K said addressing his crew. "We have worked together side-by-side in the last few months. We've dealt with rain, sleet and snow during our daily rounds. Today I can tell you that we most likely will not hold this station. However being a duly appointed US Postal Inspector, I do not intend to abandon my post. If you have to ability to leave now, you may do so without judgement."
The postal workers looked at each other, nodded and went to their stations.
K cracked a grin.
"Gentlemen? It's been a pleasure."
And with that said, the forcefield failed and overtook the post office.

He landed on his butt and sighed deeply. Way too close. Way too many times.

Of course, there's not a lot of island left, either.
Still, this would be the time to defend the school walls and then start running back to the school. Guess some of you will be staying on campus tonight...

The brilliance of this plan was that Eve was next to her, lighting the arrows on fire before Gwynn let them fly.
The Ranger and The Witch should be friends ... one girl likes to shoot a bow, the other likes to create a bomb but that's no reason why they can't be friends...
Ahem, narration. Stop that.
[[OOC: Eve modded with permission. Butchering of show tune lyrics not so much.]]

But the fact of the matter was he had no intention of leaving Gwynn's side for the foreseeable future. Well except maybe to go to the bathroom.
But he was right there with her, covering the retreat of the Fandomites, blasting an Auditor there, throwing up a shield of his own there.

If she had the breath to say anything, she would have told Tim that she loved him, but she was trying hard to focus on protecting the people that belonged here that were running to the school.
