Especially if he ended up having to argue that Bridge should get a green card for his uniform due to being married to somebody in red.
Okay, fine, he was just dying for the chance to make that joke. Shut up.

What was his name again? "Xander, right?"

Only, you know, younger and more not attached to Willow at the tongue.
Not awkward at all. "That's me. Hi, Kennedy."

"Hey, you remembered," she drawled-- totally a joke, because she expected people to remember these things. She waved a strawberry-holding hand in the general direction of the causeway. "Cool. Check out the new and not necessarily improved view, huh? When I left it was in, like, ancient Viking-land."

"This place went bopping around a few years ago too," he said, not elaborating on why he remembered her name. "The summer I got married, actually. The weather was better, though."

"See, now I feel ripped off," Kennedy replied. "Also tripped out. There was the thing with the space Vikings at graduation, and then hello, cold and ancient Viking-land. 'course then I went home and surprise, time went all wacky, and now this."

How come nobody told her these things? God.
"And wait. You know both of them?"

"I'm from Sunnydale, which is why you should actually believe my ratings of its shitholiness. Though your version would be less of a literal hole, at this point."

"Wouldn't know about that," she said, all with the raised-eyebrow skepticism. "Just what I hear from the news and my Watcher, which is a whole--no pun intended-- hell of a lot of nothing these days."
She took a moment to vent that annoyance with a little huff.
"Besides, maybe it's not your thing so much but personally? Shithole or not, I wanna be where it's all going down. Help kick evil's ass and all that."
