The Park, Wednesday Evening

May 18, 2011 18:00

It seemed there just hadn't been enough insanity going on with the gremlins lately, so that was why there was a guy in red pajamas prancing around the park. Singing.

Well, really, it was all autotuned so that part was less important.

But aren't you all so, so glad you were there for the magic and wonder of this evening? Aren't you just thrilled" ( Read more... )

Well, if he was gonna play like that...

"Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
Today i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin')
We-we-we so excited
We so excited
We gonna have a ball today!"

Really, Reno couldn't win, could he?

He sighed, giving his head a shake. He was going to just give in, but, of course, that was when the little green thing came darting from the bushes to give him a good, hard bite on the ankle.

"GODSDAMMIT."

That wasn't part of the song, for the record.

"Tomorrow is Saturday
And Sunday comes after ... wards
I don't want this weekend to end."

THAT WAS BAD LANGUAGE, RENO. JUST LEARN ABOUT THE DAYS OF THE WEEK WITH DEADPOOL BLACK.

HE WAS ALREADY WELL EDUCATED IN THESE THINGS.

You could tell by the way he was singing along, now.

Or, rather, randomly rapping.

"R-B, Rebecca Black
So chillin’ in the front seat- In the front seat,
In the back seat- In the back seat,
I’m drivin’, cruisin’, Yeah, yeah,
Fast lanes, switchin’ lanes."

Reno wasn't dancing either, for the record. But he was making the ferret do a pretty impressive steering wheel impression.

"Yeeeeaaaaah yeah!" Deadpool Black autotuned his way through, swaying still. Like a stick in the wind.

Classy.

"Wit’ a car up on my side- Woo!
C’mon, Passin’ by is a school bus in front of me,"

Probably the school bus convertible that was being driven by twelve-year-olds. That was just about the amount of sense that this whole thing was making, now. Probably the most sense being made at the moment was from Mako, who was trying to chew a hole through Reno's thumb in an effort to make a bid for freedom.

"Makes tick tock, tick tock, wanna scream,
Check my time, it’s Friday, it’s a weekend,
We gonna have fun, c’mon, c’mon, y’all!"

All things considered, Reno wasn't a horrible rapper. If you weren't too choosy.

So, what day was it, people?

"It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend..."

Thursday? Was it Thursday?

It was totally Monday! It had to be!

"Partyin', partyin', yeah!
Partyin', partyin', yeah!
Fun, fun, fun, fun,
Lookin' forward to the weekend!"

The lyrics were so complex. It was a wonder either of them could follow along.

They were a stirring ballad that could only compare to Yeats and Thoreau.

"It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend..."

"Partyin', partyin' yeah!
Partyin', partyin' yeah!"

The ferret hadn't been bitten too, but that wasn't going to stop Mako from honking, loudly, in protest.

It was possible that he sounded better than Reno and Deadpool Black.
