There's a nice spread for the occasion, including punch. And a lot of apple dishes, for some reason.

Ender had grabbed some punch while he was still sure it was unspiked, and he retreated towards the edges. He probably wouldn't be around long tonight, either, but he was going to take the time to observe while he could.

Even if he'd shown up, Hannibal was still going to duck away into a shadowy corner just to make sure his presence didn't disrupt people too much. He'd come out eventually but he was content to just be quiet and observant.

Jack had to assume everything was all right with Hannibal if he was willing to show his face on the island, but he'd like some firsthand proof before completely trusting in that. He loitered over his punch several feet away, mulling over whether to approach Hannibal or not. Asking someone he barely knew if he was still evil was not quite how he'd planned to spend his evening; perhaps he should check in with Kate first.

Finally, he decided to just get it over with before he started to look like a girl waiting to be asked for a dance.

Just for this particular dance, a karaoke booth has been set up. Just in case you want to torture some old friends with your mad stylingz.

After some coaxing from Kennedy, Tara took to the stage with a Tegan & Sarah song and a nervous giggle.

Kennedy had followed Tara to the karaoke stage, claiming herself a spot right up front and standing there like she'd be ready to punch anyone who laughed, or heckled, or... anything. (She hoped it wouldn't come to that. Getting thrown out of the dance would suck.)

She forgot about that soon enough, though; it wasn't quite her style of music, but it suited Tara and really? She just dug the fact that Tara had gotten up the nerve to do this. The fact that she was maybe overly sure the song was for her was just a bonus.

The second Tara was done, she just might be in for an incoming hug.

As soon as she could, River headed towards the dance floor. First she stood completely still, then she began to move in a way that didn't look entirely safe and might be more suitable for kicking people. Sh didn't, however. There was always enough distance between her and the other dancers.

While the last dance had been a bit of a bust in terms of actual dancing, Nathan had managed to get his head out of his ass and was now leading Caroline out onto the floor.

And see, he was even confident that he wouldn't be stepping on her toes or pissing her off. He was confident about the entire night now.
