The Fourth Dimension, Monday

Medusalith was bored. Bored, bored, bored. Even the human art couldn't distract her today.

So if she was experimenting with her hair and not setting off the security devices...well. Who could blame her? She'd turn them off before anyone else came in, obviously.

The gallery? Open.

Sophie breezed in, shopping bags dripping from her fingers, and stopped a moment, observing this.

Hmmmm. Were the alarms on, or off, at this point...?

Off, of course. Medusalith would never be caught messing around with the security by her boss. That would be unprofessional. "Hello, Ms. Devereaux," she said politely, taming her hair into a quietly writhing fall instead of a total maelstrom.

"Hellos, Medusalith," Sophie said with some equanimity. Most of her equanimity. She put the bags down on her desk and asked, "Having fun?"

"After a fashion," Medusalith said politely. "It's always nice to, ah, let my hair down."
