It hadn't escaped Dani's notice that there had been a lot of strange things turning up at The Gig on her shifts over the past month and a half. There was the keg of draft beer, the phone calls from a reporter asking about her draft picks, and the errant case of draft guards. As she entered the stable, she was wondering what she would find today. Maybe a stack of rough draft documents? A boat hull with draft marks?
There didn't seem to be anything out of place in the barn when she stepped inside. The horses were all in their stalls, turning their heads and whinnying to remind her that they were hungry and waiting. It wasn't until Dani started parceling out portions of horse feed that she realized there was an additional horse. The extra turned out to be a
Clydesdale -- a draft horse. He looked to be in pretty good shape, though he was in need of some grooming. "Did the beer truck leave you behind?" Dani asked as she patted the Clydesdale's nose.
