Fast Eddie's, Friday Afternoon

After her morning class, Kate had found herself dealing with a case of restlessness. She'd considered heading down to the gym, but somehow she felt this called for getting out of the dorms. Call Nico avoidy, but after class he really didn't feel like hanging out in his room and hearing how his face would look better if he wasn't stupid. He did, actually, really want to play some games, so he headed to town and wandered in Fast Eddie's with plenty of quarters burning a hole in his pocket.

And Kate was kind of really good at it, too. She'd been going for a while now, eyes intently on the screen, feet moving in time to the directions. She got a good workout like this, that was for sure. Couldn't keep going on forever, though. She'd made enough mistakes to get a game over, and decided to step off the game to take a break, and only then she noticed Nico.

"Oh, hey." She sounded a little bit out of breath; someone may have been going a little overboard.

Nico had become rather mesmerized with the on-screen directions and zoned out like he tended to do when he watched Luke playing something for too long. It took a moment for him to snap out of his own mental buzzing. "Oh, hi. You're good at that one. I didn't think dancing was a game. More like torture."
