In the dead of the night a shadowy figure snuck into the park, and made a bee-line for the benches near the duckpond

A tiny, well-armed ninja appeared near the bonfire. She had marshmallows and straightened coathangers.

Miho doused her own marshmallow with rum, careful not to spill any because, well, borrowed rum. Then she also poked it into the fire.

Fire pretty.

Barbossa smiled at her.

It wasn't quite like hanging out with the crew on ship, but this was nice in its own way.

Plus the crew never shared their marshmallows.

Miho smiled back at the pirate.

She would have keelhauled the crew for not sharing their marshmallows. Except she wasn't quite sure what keelhauling was. It sounded like it involved fishhooks. She supposed she could ask the pirate, but that would require speaking.

"Ninja, eh?" Barbossa said after blowing off his piece of charred marshmallow and eating it. "Would ye be knowin' anythin' about someone in the neighborhood wit' balloons, by any chance?"

Miho popped her own charred marshmallow in her mouth whole. And smirked.

Barbossa raised an eyebrow. "Interestin'."

Miho glanced over her shoulder at the full-blown catfight going on behind them. Some people. She sighed and popped another marshmallow on her stick.

"Some people, ye know?" Barbossa said, rolling his eyes. "Ruin a perfectly good bit o' burnin' wit' violence. First ye do the violence, then ye do the burnin'. Otherwise thar could be unfortunate scorchin' incidents."

Miho nodded agreeably and offered Barbossa another marshmallow.

Barbossa gave her a small bow. "Thank ye very kindly," he said, putting it onna stick and setting it on fire.
