Wesley had hated those few patrols he'd done in Sunnydale, but he had gotten in the habit of doing them, so he figured he might as well keep up the habit here in Fandom. Armed with four stakes and an axe, he went to the graveyard, doing the whole newbie routine of cayying a map and checking it at every corner. He entered the gates and looked around, squinting because it was dark. He couldn't spot anything overtly vampiric, like uprooted graves or any of the typical Sunnydale hallmarks, but he did see someone walking around. Huh. He hadn't really expected to see vampires here. He pulled out a stake and broke into a run, then skidded to a halt right beforehand, chickening out.

Gunn had been intent on checking the gravestones until he heard the noise of someone or something coming in his direction.

Pulling out a stake and feeling the adrenaline beginning to pump, Gunn turned... and saw the guy who bumped into him at the picnic.

"Man, what the hell do you think you're doing?" he growled rolling his eyes and putting the stake away.

"I - patrolling!" Wes exclaimed indignantly, punctuating his words by waving the stake in the air.

Gunn let out a scoff of amusement at that. "For what? Scones?"

It was too hot out. Much, much too hot to stay indoors on an evening like this.

That somehow translated to Maladicta taking in the sights of the local cemetery. Perhaps in some odd attempt to see if any Igors resided here and no one knew about it.

Instead she found a dark man, prowling about like he owned the place. Interesting, that. "Out for a stroll?"

"Yeah," Gunn said in a jesting tone. "The night air does wonders for my complexion. And you?"

"Finding my way around town," Maladicta replied, stepping into time along side him. "Maladicta."

"Gunn," he said by way of introduction. "And by finding your way around town, you'd thought you'd hang on in a cemetery?"
