The amount of paperwork she had to fill out for these last-minute applications made Katchoo wish she'd kept on never bothering in the first place, but she'd agreed and wasn't backing out now.

So, Alex actually had plans to go see a play because he was apparently a soft touch when friends were involved. That brought him into town a little early so he could grab something to eat and, after that, he found himself bored.

That's why he was pushing into an art store, of all things, because it was there and he hadn't been in there before. Maybe he could find something good to throw at people when he got really bored.

Katchoo wasn't exactly eager to socialize with people (you know, ever), but she'd pretty much had it with writing her name on forms so all the letters fit into the little individual boxes and any distraction was welcome.

Sign of desperation here, people.

"Are you lost?" she asked in a bored tone; all the times she'd passed by him on the roof or whatever, he'd never struck her as the artistic type.

"You look like you wouldn't know what most of the stuff in this store does unless it danced naked in front of you holding a sign," Katchoo answered, tapping the end of her pen against the side of the register. "If you did, I probably would've seen you in here before now."
