After a day like this, Gwen needed caffeine. Or booze. But she'd found the coffee shop first.

Which was apparently filled with cosplayers.

Chekov's uniform almost looked like a very good Galaxy Quest fan series-based costume. He didn't recognize Gwen's uniform, but he knew it looked more like the military in his era than anything here, so he approached with caution.

"Excuse me, sir. Were you perhaps brought here inadwertently by unknown means this morning with no knowledge of how this may hawe happened?"

"As a matter of fact I was," Gwen replied. Her straight face came from years of dealing with fans, especially young ones, of every description. "I don't suppose you'd know anything about it?"

He didn't sound quite like a Thermian, but that accent could have mean he was an alien.

"Not at this moment, no," he admitted. "I am Ensign Chekow of the Starship Enterprise. I have the Admiral's permission to inwestigate this strange occurrence. It could perhaps hawe to do with a black hole."
