The York Gallery; Sunday [ 07/12 ].
When Charlotte York woke up yesterday to have a woman who looked like Elizabeth Taylor explain to her that her engagement ring wasn't missing at all, that she was her engagement ring, Charlotte York decided that she was going to call it a day right then and there and hope things were back to normal tomorrow.
Well, it was tomorrow. And things were not back to normal. Charlotte was not at all surprised but she was a little petulant about it. Really, the woman who looked like Elizabeth Taylor who was supposedly her engagement ring was a great person to talk to, and the women found it easy to go into squealing dialogues about jewelry and matrimony, but looking at the wedding ring and human form and catching the glint of her necklace was no where near the same as glancing down at your hand and catching the glint of the diamonds there.
Sigh.
Either way, there was art and tea and a little dog Elizabeth Taylor and a ring Elizabeth Taylor and a Charlotte York.
