Not having heard from George after Tuesday night's encounter, Dinah left him a message, and started sorting through more seed packets for Reno.

Halfway through the day, she texted Merlin: Need to talk. Where are you going to be?

And then she remembered about singing at Caritas tonight with Edward. Ohhhh, boy.

After picking up from radio that something had been going on with Tony and that Dinah was visiting Ghanima for advice, Claire decided it would be prudent to drop in and visit her roomie at work.

And maybe even buy some flowers.

"Hey, Dinah," she said, walking into the flower shop and looking around.

"Hey, Claire." Dinah looked up from picking through carrot and snow pea packets and smiled. "How's it going? Need any help?"

"No, I really stopped in to see you," Claire said. "How's everything going?"

"Pretty well." Dinah paused, then admitted, "Well, it sucks that Tony's gone, and he got into trouble his first week away, and it's been a weird week in other ways too." Which reminded her of what she needed to talk to Claire about. It was a measure of how weird her week had been that she hadn't tracked her down sooner.

George had gotten Dinah's message the day before and decided to take her up on her invitation; his nose tickling a bit from the flowers, he stepped into the store, a smile on his face.

"Dinah," he greeted, with a soft smile. "I hope everything's well?"

"Hey! Hi," Dinah said, smile brightening her face. "Yeah, it is. How are you?" she asked, trying not to look too worried.

"Better than the last time you saw me," he allowed, his smile widening. "I'm sorry you had to see that."

"I didn't really see anything, except you about to get muscle cramps," Dinah pointed out, then bit her lip. "Are you sorry I know now? I wasn't trying to be nosy. Just checking out the Sixth Floor."
