Turtle and Canary - Wednesday

Amber was in an awesomely bouncy mood. She skipped into work, having taken her time to enjoy the flowers along the way. So many and so pretty!

Behind the counter, she totally grabbed her trashy romance from where she'd hidden it, and buried her nose in it. Oooh, so good!

Glinda practically waltzed into the store. "Hello!" she called from the door as she picked up a basket and began piling items into it. "Isn't it lovely out?"

Amber didn't bother to hide her book this week. Today? It was fiiine

"Hello!" she called out, waving a hand in the air. "It is! I wish I was outside instead of in here." But being in here wasn't that bad.

If Liir was just here too...

Glinda came up to the counter a short time later, unloading oysters, bananas, chocolate, and various other aphrodisiac-type foods. "I believe that I will host a little luncheon for the teachers today," she explained, apparently oblivious to what kinds of foods she had picked up. Then she caught sight of the cover of Amber's book. "Oooooooh! That looks positively juiciful!"

"Oooh, how nice!" She began to ring up her purchases. "And from the looks of it, it's going to be delicious." She was saying that word far too much today. The viking on the front cover of her book was... oh dear god, juiceful. "You are right there. Juiceful and hard and strong."

Shut up, Amber. You don't even know this lady.

"You can borrow it if you want," she offered, oh so helpfully. "I've plenty others."
