The gym was set up as usual or the meeting today today; mats and punching bags for the beginners, the sparring sections, a playpen for their littlest member, and Ghanima and Tyler keeping a keen eye over it all

Max eyed the young man curiously. He'd seen that look on a few recruits in his day. They usually lost it once they actually got into combat for the first time.

Hoo, boy. Okay. Turtle let out a breath and shook out her limbs a little. She could do this. It was just a spar; she'd been training, forget that Priestly was a boy and probably stronger than her and okay. She bounced a little more, waiting tentatively for her opponent.

"Rules?" Max asked easily,. Sure there was another organizer her could have gone to, but that one wasn't an attractive female at least not today, so the choice had been obvious.

"The purpose of this group is catharsis and self-improvement through unarmed combat," she continued. "It's fairly straight forward. What happens here, stays here. If somebody tells you something on the mat, you don't repeat it off the mat. No shoes, no weapons or powers unless both participants agree. Two people to a fight, fights go on as long as they have to. If someone says "stop" or goes limp, the fight is over."
She smiled tapped her hand against her hip. "Think you can manage to play nicely with the other children?"
