Hades was irritated. The Nightmares' food had been taken by the raiding party and he'd fallen prey to the oldest distraction in the book. But it didn't matter. That wasn't part of the main plan, it was only a fun side venture. The Nightmares would be able to get food again once they were able to come through to the surface. Fandom would be his soon

Harriet was limping, but she was very determined. Really, she shouldn't be here, but she needed to see this.

She wanted to see the look on Hades' face, and she needed to know he'd been put down. "All right then," she whispered. "Everyone ready?"
