The Park, Sunday afternoon

Mar 30, 2008 13:40

After last night there was no way Nathan was letting Peter out of his sight. But he wasn't going to keep Peter locked up all day either. Mostly for Nathan's own sanity.

So the brothers were currently in the park, playing tag.

Mac had spent most of her morning in the forms, which, while normal for her, was a bit different today. Six year olde get bored far easier. So... expanding her horizons to include town.

She brightened when she found her roommate and Nathan, though. "Peter!" she said gleefully, running over. Somehow, the fact he's small doesn't hamper her recognition.

"Mac!" Peter ran over to try to pounce on her with a hug.

Mac was quite easily pounced, and giggled, hugging him back.

"I found you," she said, quite proudly. " You were all gone this morning." She might've poured a little.

"I was with Nathan!" Peter said, pointing at his brother, who gave Mac a nod of greeting.

Sam left flag football practice a little early when he remembered that he hadn't taken Scout for his afternoon walk yet. Scout was pretty much leading the way through the park, and Sam was so focused on not letting him get away that he almost didn't see Nathan and Peter until he was close to them.

As much as he wanted to check on Peter, he wasn't sure if either of them would want to talk to him after what he'd let Dean say on the radio, and he tried to tug on Scout's leash to pull him away before they were spotted.

Sam made a little grunting noise as he got tackled. Peter's enthusiasm was contagious enough that he cracked a small smile, and tugged on Scout's leash again to keep him still. "Hey Peter," he said. "How's it going?"

"Nathan and I are playing tag!" Peter said, hugging Sam tight. Then, realizing their situation, he said, "Don't worry. I'm not It."

Aly had noticed the proliferation of children of course, and since none of them had made a beeline for her to call her 'mommy,' she was going with the students being tiny again. She walked through the park vaguely wondering if she should have brought Dee to distract students with.

Nathan noticed her and gave a nod of greeting. "Aly."

He might've been a little more tense given the news that had gotten out last night. Then again it was Nathan. Maybe he was just doing his normal thing where he had a stick up his - ahem wasn't very laid-back.

"Nathan," Aly said, looking amused as she took in the body language. "Having fun?"

"Pete's a little more immature than usual," Nathan said. "I'm hoping to tire him out so he'll take a nap."

Roy had heard radio, but still somehow managed to be surprised at finding kids in the park. Somehow all the warning be damned, there were some things he wasn't going to expect.

"Hiiiii!" Ino greeted the man. It was becoming her standard greeting by now.

Roy chuckled, because it was hard not to with that kind of greeting. "Hi, pretty girl," he told her with a smile. "You seem to be having fun."

She beamed up at him. "It's a lot of fun! I got chocolate for breakfast today!"
