Haku made his way out to the beach, since it seemed a good place for him to find some peace.

He wasn't still emoing about Zabuza not coming, in fact he was starting to move away from his affections for the grumpy homicidal ninja.

Or at least so he told himself.

After they gone into the sewers and come out again, Katara made sure that Mel was all right and no one else was hurt too badly either before she escaped out of the dorms and headed down to the beach. The water would be relaxed and just the noise of the waves instead of the thrum of people talking would be nice.

Haku smiled brightly at Katara and then over at Zabuza.

It had been a long time since Haku had smiled like that. "Can you move Zabuza-san?"

"Yes," he admitted grudginly. He gave Katara a short nod, the closest to a thanks as he got.

Katara nodded back and rather wondered if he was related to Zuko as she stood back up carefully. "Glad I could help," she said, smiling at Haku.

"Okay," she said easily. "After all the families go away?"

Haku nodded. "Sure thing! I definitly owe you for this one!" He smiled and moved to give Katara a hug, but stopped himself with Zabuza around.

Katara smiled at the aborted movement and stepped back. "You guys have a good night, okay? It was nice meeting you, Mr. Zabuza."

Zabuza's response was somewhere between a grunt and a mumbled "You too."

Haku still smiled, but this time for Zabuza. He was happy that the ninja had been able to meet at least one of his friends. "Let's get you taken care of Zabuza-san. I'll talk to you later, okay Katara?"

"Definitely," she said, turning to keep walking down the beach. "Have fun!"
