Angel had been reluctant to dance becamse OMG leave Logan in Neptune. But he did want to see his friends as well. So he'd compromised by skipping the first night of Homecoming and showing up for the second.

After spending the day at the market, John wandered in and spotted Angel.

"Hey, ugly!" Trying out new greetings was fun.

"Suck," John said sympathetically. "If I can do anything, let me know."

"Thanks," Angel said. Moving on to more enjoyable topics, he asked, "Got your vows yet?"

John snorted. "I've got a page with I love you and don't kill me if I'm stupid."

"Those are good ones," Angel said. If he ever got married he would totally steal them.

"Words aren't my strong point," he said and made a face. "At least, nothing that's mushy gushy romantic."

"Damn, there goes plan B of asking you to write my vows," John said and bumped his shoulder against Angel's.

Angel grinned. "You should include something about her not killing you."

"Good idea!" John said, eyes wide. "You'll be nearby to feed me lines if I forget them during the ceremony."

"Whatever works," John said. "Geez, I'm getting married."

Angel had a big ol' smile. "Congratulations."

"Thanks," John said and shook his head in disbelief. "It seems like only yesterday I was living it up in 238."

"It so was," John said. "I almost snuck back last night and camped out."
