Completely unexpectedly (and he would later blame someone peeling cocktail onions in the vicinity), it drew a single tear from each eye, but he brushed them away, and continued on.

Actually, Jeff sort of moped in the general vicinity of the bar and mumbled, "Lager." He wasn't entirely sure who he was mumbling to, which was probably because his front end hit the bar before his back end hit the stool.
