Golden Sun fandom, why so much hate for Rief? :(

Iodem need less hate, too. And Garet needs more love.

People hate Rief? But I liked him; poor kid! :c I've never stuck my nose in GS fandom, but he was a mainstay in my party when I played Dark Dawn. I never really touched Amiti, oop (nothing against the guy, though).

I figured if anything, fandom would concentrate their ire on that "The end...?" nonsense! Come on, Camelot! You've had so long to make this game, don't pull this again!

Well, they don't solely hate on Rief. :p A lot of things from Dark Dawn weren't particularly well-received (the ending, the points of no return, the decrease in difficulty, etc...), though the game has plenty of defenders.* Rief just gets a lot of hate because people think he's useless (examples: you get another Mercury Adept not long after getting him and Karis has multiheals in her base class without any djinn). Personally, I like the kid. I think he's adorable, even if I never really used him, lol

*I'm of the opinion myself that it was a good game, but not a great one. I did, however, like it more on my second playthrough.

I can understand when it's about her bad sides, most of the time it feels like the hate is just because she rejected Eridan.

I can understand why some people might not like him, but I wish fewer people outright hated him. It's especially annoying on Tumblr because it feels like half the time when I see new posts in my tracked tag it turns out to be be bashing. :(
