I agree. I think that had Burton been 100% in control of where the story went, it would have been a bit darker and - I think - it would have been more interesting to see where he'd take it. I love Tim Burton, I (usually) love Disney, but I think merging the two just... well, it's worked in the past, but this just seems like something that could have been done so much better without being watered down.

I agree.
If it was darker/more adult it probably would have been more enjoyable. The whole movie just seems so silly, plus most of the characters where where unlikeable and the plot was confusing yet predictable.
Maybe if it was more R material it would be like "OMG this is totally awesome!" rather than "meh...this is...okay."
Of course this is my opinion, and who really cares.

I liked it, but Burton could have done better although he I agree that he may I have been restrained by Disney.
I personally /hate/ the fact that Alice was Blonde.
I know that this sounds finicky but in the books she's always been a Brunette and if we're going to properly discuss Lewis Carroll's image of Alice - we have to talk about the hair (because it's awfully symbolic) and the real Alice who Carrol photographed and based his character upon.
