2nd floor common room, Wednesday afternoon (after classes)

Hunting had been a good distraction for awhile, but when Wyatt returned to the second floor, he found himself dwelling again on what they were going to do about Belthazor. Having an uncle who was half-demon was bad enough. The Source of All Evil? That was right out.

He sighed and flopped on the couch. Maybe TV would be another distraction.

Anders probably shouldn't have been wandering around by himself, but he was getting a little restless. Besides, it was just the common room, right?

He felt a little more justified in the decision upon seeing Wyatt in there. "Hey, man," he said, sinking into one of the couches.

"Yeah." Anders chewed his lip for a moment. "I guess he shouldn't be allowed to hurt anyone else."

"Source of All Evil isn't just a fancy title," Wyatt said. "He's the ruler of the Underworld. Demons serve him."

"Damn. This is seriously frakked up," Anders muttered. And suddenly felt that much less safe.

"Tell me about it," Wyatt said. He looked Anders over. "You okay?"

"Just worried," Anders said quickly. "If he comes after me . . . he knows stuff about me that could mean I'm in trouble."

"Stick with me," Wyatt said. "I'm not gonna let him hurt anybody else here."

Anders nodded. "Yeah. I've been sticking with Bridge most of the time since I found out, but the more the safer, I guess."

"You seriously think he's going to come after you?" Wyatt asked. No, he wasn't thinking of bait at all.

Anders nodded. "I . . . might've pissed him off, so yeah." No, he wasn't thinking how much fun it might be to have Wyatt tie him up.

"He won't," Wyatt assured Anders. "We won't let him."

"Good," Anders said, by now curled up in a half-fetal ball on the couch. "Um, at least, I think that's good."

Wyatt gave Anders a puzzled look. "What do you mean you think it's good."

[cantgetnorelief]

Anders sighed and curled up a little tighter. "It's just the killing him part that sticks me."

[blessed_twice]

"Dude, I so don't to kill my aunt's boyfriend," Wyatt said. "But we probably don't have a choice."

"I guess you're right," Anders said dully. "I kinda wish you weren't, and this is gonna suck way more for you than for me not dirty."
