Simba's own tail swished back and forth with anticipation as he watched the Beast's tail. It was all the joy of watching a dangly string, coupled to the happy thought of getting a great dinner with it. Just ... a few ... steps closer ...
Nefertiri was in need of distraction after the events of earlier in the evening still being played out, and headed for the roof again. She paused when she saw the Beast on the corner of the roof. Singing.
She decided to approach cautiously, and climbed onto the balustrade again, tip-toeing closer.
Lonnie had acquired a pack of cigarettes and went up to the roof to smoke. She was rapidly coming to the conclusion that this town sucked, and decent digs or not, it wasn't worth waiting around for Rath. Taking a seat on the edge of the roof, she lit of a cigarette and took a long drag.
Irulan has not worn her hat headdress for days, and she thought it appropriate to wear now after all the strangeness, to have something familiar on hand. Headdress on hand Irulan decided to visit the roof again and... this may not be the best idea after all there was a creature was on the roof.
Irulan stared at the creature, wide-eyed as it crept closer. And began, unconciously reciting the Fear litany: "I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear... I will let it pass through me. Where it is gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
It pulled him up short. He did not want anyone to be afraid of him, unless he chose. Folding his arms, he dropped back to a crouch. "I won't hurt you," he rumbled.
The noise of the camera irritated him, and he scratched at his ears, twitching his tail as he tried to get more comfortable.
Which had the unfortunate - for him at least - side effect of bringing him out of the shadows. Coincidentally into view of any camera wielding individuals.

Oh man, that thing would keep him feed for days!
With a huge grin he dropped close to the ground, and tried to sneak up on the thing's swishy tail.

But his tail twitched provocatively, dragging across the roof, and flicking first left, then right.

The Beast kept brooding, lost in thought.

He might not have noticed a deliberate tread, but stealth caught his attention, and he turned to face her, one lip lifted to show teeth in warning.

It's possible he was stalking it - he was a beast, after all.

Because a huge hairy beast is so easy to miss, especially when his tail is lying out in plain sight.
