The Roof, Saturday afternoon

Walter had a thermos of tea, a bag of sandwiches, and a cigarette. Thanks to his semi-insane metabolism, he hadn't even had a brushing acquaintance with a hangovr; he couldn't complain at all. Eventually, he'd see Cally, if she remembered the night before. Then there would be jumping off the roof

After a rather rambly and not terribly coherent conversation with Chad, Nadia was down to just being kinda buzzed. She had a big bottle of water and, well, she had no reason to wander up to the roof, but she went on up, anyway. "Hey, Walter!"

"Oooo. I don't know how honorable he is, but he seems like a good guy."

[walter_n_wires]

"Then we'll expect a not-Angel fashion show. I told him to check Anders' closet for a dress that might fit him."

Which got more giggling. "Maybe Anders will dress up, too. For moral support."

[walter_n_wires]

"Because Anders really wants more inquiries into his private activities. Next Cally will be sure that he and Seely are a couple."

[nadiathesaint]

"That's true." Nadia nodded. "Wait, what?"

[walter_n_wires]

"Cally keeps wanting to know who Anders is involved with. You'd think she wasn't as over him as she claims. Does she ever let go of anyone?"

"Well, she says she's not into me any more, but I don't believe that, either. I think she has problems with fearing that people will leave her or forget her."

[walter_n_wires]

"That sounds like a good explanation," Walter said, slightly impressed by Nadia's assessment.

Nadia nudged his arm with her elbow. "I get those sometimes."

[walter_n_wires]

"Would I have a stupid girlfriend? Certainly not. Only the best for me." And perhaps a bit on the crazy side, but he liked crazy. It made him feel at home.

[nadiathesaint]

"Even if every now and then I do something stupid like get a crush on a giant Mexican guy?"

[walter_n_wires]

"I can't say it makes me happy...." But he also felt like a hypocrite when he'd told her something worse than I have a crush....

[nadiathesaint]

"Hey, at least I didn't profess my love for some guy 60 some years away who sucks the blood of the living."

Yeah, she hadn't forgotten about that, either.

[walter_n_wires]

Walter covered his frown with a cigarette. "I'm aware of that."

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia sighed. "Okay, can we blame the left over rum in my system for the fact that that was really, really rude of me to say?"
