First floor lobby, all day

Sometime either in the middle of the night or very early in the morning, a large, beautiful, undecorated Christmas tree ended up in the first floor lobby of the dorms. No idea how it got there, but it's not the weirdest thing to happen in Fandom. Neither is the fact that there are also boxes and boxes of completely moddable decorations lying out.

Mac stopped as she passed through the lobby. As you would when you come down one morning and there's suddenly a huge tree in the hall where there wasn't one before.

Plus? Fairy lights to put up. She likes the idea of the fairy lights.

When Hermione gets there, she looks around to see if anyone is around to do anything. She isn't sure if someone's already handling this. When no one comes after a moment, she decides she might as well help, and attempts putting up the lights.

And when that is stupid, because the tree is big and wide around and she's slightly wee, she gets out her wand and starts directing the lights on where to put themselves.

I'm personally not a White Christmas fan, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Sometime in the late afternoon, El came by carrying his guitar case and set up shop near the CD player.

If live music is more your speed, he takes request. And knows a lot of catchy holiday music from the US and Mexico.

Mmmm, cookies. And dammit, now I want hot chocolate.

Hermione stops by the table after a while, going to pick up a gingerbread man cookie.

Oddly, though, as soon as she raises the cookie to her mouth, it wriggles out of her hand and jumps onto the table. Then onto the floor. Then the gingerbread man scurries across the floor and somewhere Hermione can't see.

Straightening, she says, "I've been in Fandom too long."

General mingling

Hang out on the couch and watch the tree get tinselified!

What with his foot in plaster, Shawn isn't exactly in the right state to be tree decorating himself. He is however quite happy to sit on the couch, eat cookies and watch everyone else get tangled up in the tinsel.

Jude threw up the Fist of Solidarity as he hobbled by on crutches, his left leg in a cast up to the knee and now festively sparkly.
