Pippi is sitting by the campfire, which does have a fire going.
Not a roaring fire. And not exactly "fire" per sae, more like a pile of glowing coals. It doesn't give off a lot of light but it does give off quite a bit of heat to hold back the chilly morning

Hmm, first she couldn't hum, now she can't talk.
She turns her attention back to Pip and makes a motion bringing her hand to her mouth as if eating. Then she pointed to a nonresistant watch on her wrist and then held her thumb and forefinger close together to indicate a little bit.
She pointed to the coffee pot with a questioning look on her face.

He blinked in suprised. And then cursed several times in three languages.

And, she couldn't even call in sick to work.
She wrapped her jacket a little more tightly about herself and gave a sheepish wave to those assembled around the campfire.
