Everything having been successfully got in place in the alcoves, Dean wandered outside to see where everyone not setting up pranks had got to.

And that, Dean thought smugly, seemed like adequate payback for the bathroom acoustics discussion.

"You could've gone back to the dorms," he said, picking up the conversation as if he hadn't just suggested Jaye was worried about being covered in giant blue teachers.

"I... forgot we could go back there," she says. Oops.

"Not really thinking with the upstairs brain, huh?" Dean was probably enjoying this more than he should.

"At least I had a good time," she points out.

"Yeah," he said drily. "I got that part. Repeatedly."

"It's not my fault the walls are broken."

"Yeah, Sammy and I having to listen to the really loud sex is the cabin's fault for having broken walls."

"Okay. Yes. Yes, it is."

"Gags. Definitely."

Sam waved idly to Dean. "Hey."

"Hey," Dean replied with a wave of his own. "How's things?"

"Can't complain," Sam replied, "just reading. You?"

"Oh just catching up on a few things that needed doing. All done now." Dean craned his head to try and make out the book's title. "Anything good?"

"Sunday's a good day to play catch up." She showed him the cover of a paperback astrophysics book. "To me, yes, but probably not to most people."

"Yeah, might be just a bit over my head," Dean acknowledged good naturedly.
