The television was on, and the opening titles for Silver Specter began with the first familiar notes of the theme song. They were reruns, but she didn't care. She cheered as the lead actress, Elaine Stansfield, was introduced with a particularly in-jean-e-ous text, her cape fluttering in glorious black and white.

She idly twisted Nick's stuffed, yellow horn as she wondered where she could get a really cool hat like that...
