No one's in the common room when Aeryn first gets there. Which is weird. She doesn't know the last time she saw it empty.

Of course, being bored, she takes advantage of this. And starts flipping channels, wishing she had her Nerf gun to fire at bad programming. There will be NO Spice Girl ghosts today.

Xander shows up in the common room at OMG hundred hours not-FH time! a wee bit late. And totally unpainted, yo.

To make up for this fact, he has a frog in his hands, instead of on his face.

A frog in a tank in his hands, because the other way offers way too many chances for escape and mayhem.

"Your commander's an alien?" It's entirely possible that Xander's eyes literally light up.

Not that, of course, he hasn't met aliens here. Hell, he lives with one. But those are aliens who look and act human, pretty much. And not that he hasn't met demons who don't look and act human, and could pass for aliens if you didn't know they came from another dimension instead of outer space. So... actually he has no idea where he's going with this train of thought, other than rumbling like the Wabash Cannonball straight in the direction of a brick wall with the word geekboy spraypainted on it.
