Cally, with the intrepid and very necessary help of Anders, has hauled up some welding equipment to the dorm roof.
Today the Viper frame is to be re-fabricated. So, with the help of Anders (who is holding the big pieces in place, as that is probably the extent to which his skills run), Cally sets about this arduous work.

He's not at all distracted by thoughts of the fact that the Viper pieces are completely out of room 213, and impending officialness and stuff.
If he was, he might drop a heavy piece of frame on his foot or something.

Cally smiles as she flips up the welding mask. "Dunno. Could take a while, what with just the two of us. But we don't have to do this all day. Especially with the cold and all." She shrugs. "Besides, we gotta get ready for the Triad game, later, too."

Anders is very determinedly not thinking distracting thoughts, because if Cally cries, he's going to cry too, and that just can't happen.
"Anything we need for the Triad game? Foodwise, I mean? I can run out and get drinks or whatever. Snacks?"

"There, that's that bit. Now... grabs the piece over there and put it up against this one, and that should be right." She nods and gestures, smiling the whole time.

Finally, after a brief, if mildly violent, conference they all climb up onto the framework. The winner of the conference sits where the pilot's seat will eventually be. The rest spread themselves out over the Viper frame wherever they can find a comfortable perch.
The 'pilot' squeaks through a 'check list' as he pretends to flip switches and tap dials. Various gremlins behind him answer as he calls out each item. When the check list is finished the 'pilot' 'starts the engine'. He then begins making plane noises and all the gremlins lean in unison as the the 'pilot' 'flies' them about.
