It was safe to say that a dwarf that was presented with a building challenge was a motivated dwarf. That would be why Thorin was halfway through building the so called 'yurt' with only a few, ah, embellishments

Blue had, upon realizing what the situation was, assigned herself a clear role in the yurt construction endeavor. It was called 'hand Thorin tools.'
She also had snacks for any other Uzbeks who wanted to assist (the best way to assist, she had quickly figured out, was to not get in the way and eat snacks).
"I don't think it's supposed to have semiprecious stones on it," Blue pointed out, studying the pictograms. How had that even happened? When had that happened?
"Uh-huh," Blue said, because she had learned it was best just to not argue with him by now, or else you would wake up and the dresser would be filigreed anyway. "We don't need a moat, by the way." She was just putting that out there.
Ada had tried to read the directions, realized that this was one of those days that the written word wasn't going to make much sense for her. That was fine.
She took a step back, looked at the material still on the ground, looked at what it was supposed to look like, and was climbing up to the roof, items tucked under her arms. It wasn't that different from a carnival tent; she didn't need written instructions.
"If I got a tool you need, just holler," she called down to Thorin, grinning like a loon to have the wind in her hair. "--But it shouldn't take me too long to get her sealed up tight up here."
"Careful, or you'll tempt me to grab a shovel and dig down a bit, to make it cooler," Ada laughed as she shimmied her way into position. "Drop us down a foot or two, put some holes along the edges, and run into town for some big blocks of ice from a restaurant kitchen. We'd have air conditioning without needing to steal an electric!"

She had festive beverages on hand to go with Blue's snacks, at least.
"It looks lovely! You're doing an excellent job."
Maybe she could get him to build her futon, next.

And, let's be real, all the futons would end up being built and decorated with semi-precious stones.

Where was he getting those stones?

And it was like a dwarven sixth sense to mine for them.
"I have trained in the basics." Which was different for dwarves. "Though I am not a master of such things yet."
