The Front Lawn of the Dorms, Saturday Afternoon

Jan 17, 2015 16:29

If you thought Sparkle was going to just let this weather pass him by today, you really had another thing coming. Glitter! There was glitter as far as the eye could see with drifts that came halfway to his knees around some of the corners on the grounds to the dorms. And Sparkle ( Read more... )

This was... different?

Hanna was staring upward with confusion and a certain amount of wonder.

"Is this -- normal? For here?"

"For here? Hell yeah," Sparkle laughed, shoveling another handful of glitter into his pillowcase. "We get all kinds of weird fucking rain around here, like, I got my cat because of weird things falling from the sky. And there's usually at least powdered sugar leading up to Christmas."

It was one of the few things Sparkle actually liked about this place, really.

"Hey, Bugs. How're you settling in?"

Hanna stopped and spun in place, baffled and amused. Shiny, multi-colored, sticky glitter all over her boots; she kind of liked the effect. In her hair-- also amusing.

"Bugs-- oh!" She laughed, then said, "I am adjusting. And my classes are useful.... it rained cats!?"

Oooo!

"And dogs," Sparkle laughed. "It literally rained cats and dogs, once. Most of them were gone the next day, but Velcro, my cat, he stuck around."

... That pun had been totally unintentional. But Sparkle grinned more when he realized what he'd just said. And then made a face, and spat out some glitter.

"I don't like most of the weird stuff this place pulls, but sometimes it's pretty okay. Things like this? We can keep this."

Sadly, Atton's portal wouldn't be hitting Fandom until late tonight. Well, sadly for some. He wasn't exactly crying about it.

What he was doing was texting Sparkle in the middle of a meeting.

Hey, now that everything's not crazy we should set a date to shoot stuff.

Which was important, but he was mostly doing it right now because he was hanging out shirtless at a meeting in the Jedi High Council chamber while Mical was talking and doing so hadn't made Mical's head explode enough yet.

Hey, if Sparkle knew that, he'd be thrilled. It was good to hear from Atton either way, of course. But tormenting Mical had taken on a special place in Sparkle's heart, these days.

Any time that's good for you is good for me, man. Preference? Anything?

If that took a little more time than it otherwise could, it was because Sparkle had to clear the glitter off his phone a few times so that he could see what he was texting, here.

[OOC: I literally have nothing to do until the 26th! Whatever works best for you!]

Monday? Atton texted. I think I got out of mission duty for the next week.

Probably because of the increasingly red color on Mical's face. Ah, well.

Sweet. Monday's good, I'll keep it free. What'd you do to manage to weasel out of that, anyway?

Sparkle would take notes if you told him, Atton.

Johnny was heading out to grab some lunch, maybe fly around, but the glitterstorm changed his outlook immediately. He was just covered in the stuff already, and he'd been outside for a minute. There was only one thing to be done about it.

"Flame on!" As the flames covered him, they also burned off any of that evil little paper. But he made sure to float above the ground, though, so that he didn't start an entire glitter pile on fire and start a massive issue.

When he spotted Sparkle, he flew over and asked, "Is this a new one, or just new to me?"

"The glitter's new to me too," Sparkle replied, blinking up and sohelphimgodJohnnywasevenhotwhenhewasonfire. Ahem. Blinking up and shrugging his shoulders. As one does. "Like, there's been way weirder, but this is the first time that I know of that we've been buried under more glitter than Homecoming."

He said. As he scooped more into a bag. Because Sparkle was about as evil as the glitter was.

"So you're stocking up for the next school dance?" Johnny checked. "I have to admit, that's good presidenting."

"It's pretty much my solemn duty to make sure decorating is taken care of and to cut corners and save on the Student Council's glitter budget whenever the opportunity presents itself," Sparkle declared. "And, like, I'm keeping some for me, too. If I'm going to be out here filling pillowcases with glitter, I'm not going to be doing it without taking a cut for myself."

Everything would be glitter. Everything.

"Oo, neat!" Cecil grinned at all the glitter. "Are we stocking up for prom?"

"For prom, for showerhead glitterbombs, for whatever else we might need like five giant bags of sky-glitter for," Sparkle confirmed with a grin. "I mean, you can never have too much glitter for school functions, right? Homecoming didn't have nearly enough."

Sparkle. Sparkle stop.

"I'll go get trash bags!" Cecil said, grinning. And dashed off to do so.

Sparkle just cackled as Cecil ran off.

Yessss, perfect. His wicked glitterplans were coming into realization!

Or they would be, if he had wicked glitterplans beyond, 'collect glitter, use glitter in places, profit.'
