Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Morning

Nov 18, 2014 10:03

After last night's bender, Edward had somehow managed to climb up several flights of stairs - only to forget which exact room he lived in. He'd stumbled into a couple of doors, then given up on the whole thing. The common room couches looked as comfortable as any bed, after all ( Read more... )

Nathan wasn't hungover or even tired. He was, however, feeling like he needed some fresh air so he'd been on his way to the roof when he spied some lump of a person on the couch in the common room.

When he got closer, he realized who it was by the blonde hair he could spot underneath the towel. Nathan laughed and wondered if he should leave Edward asleep or wake him up to be a jackass.

Edward snored louder and turned over under his towel-jacket-blanket... construction.

Eventually, Nathan decided not to wake Edward up too insensitively. He went into the kitchen area and started to get something together for breakfast. If that involved some pots banging, some cabinets closing, and the smells of things like toast and orange juice, oh well.

... It was pretty hard to stave off that wakefulness Edward didn't want to deal with now, yes, it was. Edward squinted out from underneath his towel. "Wuh," he said intelligibly.

His hand groped around for something to throw.

Anders had woken up with a head almost as bad as Edward's and a mouth that tasted like he'd cleaned a kitchen floor with his tongue. He healed away the worst of it -- magic was meant to serve man, after all -- before going to find Edward.

Possibly to tell him he hated him and was never drinking again. He was giving like that.

"Still asleep?" he said, rather loudly, in the direction of Edward's prone form. "Lucky."

Edward let out a distinctly unhappy groan. "Go 'way, Anders."

"So you don't want to know whether healing works on hangovers, too?" Anders asked cheerily. "All right, then."

Edward digested that.

"...Come back, Anders."

Rapunzel had been going up to the roof to sketch, but then -- well. The snoring was a little hard to ignore, and when she passed the common room, she peeked in to see who was stuck sleeping out here.

And rather than wake him, she decided she was going to be nice, and went over to the stove to put the kettle on. He'd want tea or coffee (and she kind of knew how to make coffee now, thanks Dr. Lecter!) when he woke up, right?

Frankly, when Edward woke up, the thing he'd want most was to not be awake, but it wasn't terrible thinking.

Her entrance didn't wake him up either, thank God. He snored happily away - though that might change if he started smelling coffee.

Would it change if the kettle started whistling? Because Rapunzel didn't actually account for how loud those things were, and a few minutes later she was racing over to the stove and shushing it, as though the kettle itself had any sort of stake in whether it was shrieking or not.

That was dumb of her. Oops.

"Owwwwww," Edward groaned, yanking the towel over his head, only to find there was no further for it to be yanked. "Stoppit."
