It seemed like there was a constant string of parties lately. Flick hadn't gone to the past few but he could pop into this one since he knew the birthday girl and all.

Mara did finally settle into one place with a plate of snacks and a glass of water. She looked nervous--she'd never had a party before--and her eyes kept roaming back to the banner with her name on it.

Travis didn't know Mara too well but he dropped off a small gift for her. Hey, she seemed to need music when he met her in gym so maybe she'd be able to use those.
