Peter had gotten up, sighed, rolled his eyes, wandered around-- and homed in on the one face that was somewhat familiar. He was mildly annoyed, but not as much as he could have been; years of Fandom had taught him that that reunion invitation he'd discarded might come back to bite him in the ass anyway.

"Now this looks... homey," he commented, hands stuck into the pockets of a suit that was far too expensive to have spent the morning pressed into a bouncy castle.

"Hey, it's your life," Peter said, shrugging both of his shoulders. "I'll go on and deal with having the cutest kids in the multiverse. It's a horrible burden."

"Form follows function," Jessica pointed out. She wasn't an architect either, but she knew that phrase somehow. "You don't want people bouncing, be boring and pick a different material."
