There was weird stuff happening on the island again and Jim wasn't affected. He'd woken up as himself and he'd stayed himself and he was still currently himself while sprawled on one of the couches in the common room

Evan could be a very observant little guy when he set his mind to it, and, while he'd kind of holed himself up and just quietly read in his room yesterday, listening to today's radio broadcast had him kind of twitchy. Naturally, he was out and investigating the crazy.
... While, at the same time, kind of hoping not to actually run into any. Evan was a dreamer, sometimes.
"Well, hilarious or not, I'm glad whatever it is managed to miss me, this time," Evan decided, before making his way over to the couch and claiming a corner of it for himself. "It sounds like people think they've been kidnapped or something. Not really my idea of a great time."
"Doesn't this stuff usually right itself after a few days?" Jim asked, glancing over at Evan. "I mean, this place seems to be a tease. Gives you a few days of strange behavior and then takes it away."
Not that he minded especially when it came to things like dungeons and stuff.
"They shouldn't be acting this way for too much longer," he continued. "Back to normal and just living with the embarrassment."
Helen had managed coffee in town, so when she breezed into the common room, her only intention was to snag some more art supplies without engaging in interaction with any random people she had no interest in.
Daphne had passed the day before with no sighting of Marty's storm troopers -- but also without much more of a clue where she was. To be honest, she was almost annoying the crazy freedom of it.
She wandered into the common room, flipped a wave at the people there, and started looking for some breakfast.
And see, Jim recognized her too but he wasn't sure if she was her or if she'd just gotten lucky and the person she was right now looked the same as the person she normally was.
"Morning," he said conversationally. "How's it going there?"
Daphne hadn't been looking at him, so she'd missed the first half of that. "I'm good," she said, hoping he had been talking to her. "How are you?"
Between the evudent lack of recognition and the fact her voice itself was different -- thicker, with a deaf accent -- it was pretty clear she had not gotten lucky.
Between the katana strapped her belt and the eye black under her eyes, Roxie definitely didn't look like Gert today. Which meant Jim had yet another person in this common room to be amused by, probably.
"What the hell is going on here?" Roxie wanted to know, eyeing the room. "Is this some kind of party or something?"
"There would be a lot more beer if this were a party," Jim declared, trying to figure out who this was. She looked vaguely familiar. "Why? You sad you didn't get an invite?"
"Obviously, we were waiting for you to liven things up!" Jim lied, shrugging. "And now you're here and we can start to have fun! Break out te tequila!"

Sure, that would work.

Hilarious. She was going to kill him when she was back but this was funny.

But it was nice to know the unimpressed look had made the transition over. "Excuse me?"

"Good," he answered. "So, what's your name? I don't think I've seen you around and I'd remember someone as pretty as you."
He could still flirt with her!
