When Natalie walked into the common room, she was wearing a skirt that ended just above her knees - and top with long sleeves. And a light scarf around her neck.

She raised one eyebrow at the TV. "So is finding ridiculous TV programs your specialty, or...?"

"Apparently," Gert said dryly, because she had to admit that it was becoming a pattern now. "This time the channel can actually change, I'm just not sure if I want to give up the opportunity to know exactly how crazy some people in the world are."

War and murder were infinitely more crazy, after all.

Although a mermaid guy was still pretty unusual.

Oh, sure, make Gert feel a little guilty. "I already know about the kind of crazy that makes the news," she settled on. "And how distorted it is by the time we can watch it on TV. Definitely didn't know about this kind of crazy, though."

Emily resisted the urge to hit her head against a wall when she noticed who was already in.

She was quickly persuaded not to when her eyes fell upon the television. What...

Things were so bad they were agreeing on stuff. "Well, all that swimming with that tail is surely giving him some awesome upper body strength," Emily said with a bit more intensity than she had meant to.
