The Salle, Wednesday Afternoon

There were only so many places on campus that Surreal could be found, and the salle was generally the most obvious.

Today she was a whirl of motion as she attacked the three moving remotes that she had found, hand-to-machine, refraining from using her blades or her Green so that it wouldn't be over too soon. It was possible she was even ( Read more... )

Evan was antsy today. Way more antsy than he would care to admit. And normally when he got twitchy like this, he could just take his dog for a walk, or go flying, or read a book, and it would go away on its own.

Today... not so much. And it had taken him a few hours to realize that it was because he needed to vent. So he'd made his way to the Salle, thinking that, if nothing else, he could probably beat on one of the practice dummies for a while and that would help him feel better.

... But Surreal fighting the remotes was pretty distracting. He barely made it through the door before he found himself standing and watching. And why not? It wasn't like the dummies were going anywhere without him.

To be fair, Surreal was pretty distracting on any day, but usually because of her awkwardness around her classmates. Not because she was playing tag with a trio of remotes, catching them and then flinging them back at each other.

She did, however, manage a finger-waggle of a 'hello' at the kitten when he came in, although she almost got beaned in the head by one of the remotes for losing her focus.

And Evan, in turn, had to bite his cheek to keep from smiling at the near-miss. It would have been because of him, after all. He did make his way closer, though, paying attention to her form as she did her dance with the remotes.

"Maybe I'll get myself some of those, sometime..."

They looked... useful. At the very least, they'd keep him from going rusty. He wasn't exactly getting any training any more, after all.

"I found them in a box," Surreal offered, ducking another one. "--and turned the first one on accidentally. There's probably more."

Yes, she'd turned the other two on with great glee once she realized the little thing was trying to kill her.
